Engineered timber flooring
Engineered timber gives you a genuine timber surface on a layered core that will not move around the way solid boards do when the weather turns. In a climate that swings from a wet Hills winter to a forty degree February, that stability matters.
It is the premium option and it looks it. Wide boards, brushed and oiled finishes, herringbone if you want to make a statement in an entry or a living room.
This is the floor people choose when they are renovating properly and intend to stay. It rewards a careful install, so it gets one.
Wide shot of finished engineered timber, ideally wide board or herringbone, in good natural light. This is the money shot for the high end renovator audience.

Engineered Timber questions
Is engineered timber real wood?
Yes. The top layer is real timber, bonded to a stable multi layer core underneath. That core is what stops it cupping and gapping the way solid boards can.
Can engineered timber be sanded back later?
It depends on the thickness of the top layer. A thicker wear layer can usually take a light sand and re-coat. We tell you what a given product can handle before you buy it.
Can you do herringbone?
Yes. It takes longer to lay and it costs more, and it looks superb in the right room. Ask us when we come out to measure.
