Laminate flooring
Laminate is the value pick. A convincing timber look and a tough wear layer for a lot less than engineered timber, which is why it keeps turning up in rentals, first homes and renovations where the budget has to stretch.
The gap between cheap laminate and good laminate is enormous. We show you the difference in the samples rather than talking you into the dearest board on the shelf.
The install is what makes or breaks a laminate floor. Flat subfloor, right underlay, correct expansion gaps. We do all three.
Wide shot of finished laminate through a living or dining space.

Is laminate any good in a kitchen?
It can work, but hybrid or vinyl plank is the safer call anywhere water gets spilled regularly. We will tell you if laminate is the wrong choice for a room rather than just selling it to you.
How thick should laminate be?
Thicker boards feel more solid underfoot and cope better with small subfloor imperfections. 8mm is the common choice, 12mm feels noticeably better. We show you both.
