Hybrid in Littlehampton
About 5 minutes from our base in Mount Barker. Rigid core, fully waterproof, and it looks like timber. The sensible answer for most family homes.
Littlehampton is five minutes from the shed, so it is one of the easiest places for us to get to for a measure. A mix of older homes near the main street and newer builds on the edges, which means we see everything here from a full character home renovation to a straight hybrid install through a new house.
Hybrid takes the rigid waterproof core from vinyl plank and the look and feel of laminate and puts them in one board. For most family homes it is the sensible answer.

Hybrid questions
What is the difference between hybrid and laminate?
Laminate has a timber based core, so standing water is its enemy. Hybrid has a rigid waterproof core, so it handles wet areas and spills. Hybrid usually costs more. We walk you through both when we quote.
Is hybrid flooring really waterproof?
The board itself is. Water sitting on the surface will not swell it the way it swells laminate. It still needs the right expansion gaps and edge detailing in wet areas to do its job.
Can hybrid go over my existing tiles?
Often yes, if the tiles are sound and flat. Sometimes the grout lines need filling first. We assess the subfloor when we measure and tell you straight.
